Here at PepsiCo we are on the look-out for a Customer Business Manager to manage all aspects of our Walkers commercial relationship with one of our largest grocery customers. Walkers is the no.1 snack brand in the UK, so this is a great opportunity for your next career step!



Our Grocery Sales team work with our biggest customers - the major supermarket chains. The collective buying power of our Grocery channel partners is immense, and their customers expect to see PepsiCo products on the shelf with competitive prices and deals. Our Grocery teams work with their counterparts at the Supermarkets to ensure that they optimise sales of PepsiCo products in ways that excite shoppers and delivers healthy margins.



As a Customer Business Manager at PepsiCo, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our commercial relationship for Walkers with one of our largest grocery customers. You will build joint business plans to deliver against PepsiCo UK share, sales, and profit growth targets.



In more detail you will:
  • Own the Walkers P&L for your customer
  • Utilise trade investment efficiently through effective negotiation and by developing a suitable promotional strategy that maximises ROI and efficiency
  • Work with the Customer Trading Team to develop and deliver long term strategic plans
  • Develop and deliver execution for all Walkers marketing programmes, NPD and base initiatives, in line with internal expectations and gate 4 targets.
  • Lead the Walkers BU for your customer by managing and developing cross-functional relationships both internally and externally with: Finance, Shopper Marketing, Customer and Shopper Insights, Supply Chain, & Marketing
  • On an ongoing base, manage the trading agenda with key contacts to deliver against the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and long term strategic plans.
  • Develop base driving initiatives and long term strategic plans with your customer
  • Own the in-store execution calendar


In this role you will report directly to the Business Unit Director responsible for your customer and you'll have management responsibility for a team of two (a National Account Manager and a Trading Executive). You will be responsible for coaching and development, setting their overall direction and day-to-day workload management.



Required experience

  • FMCG sales background; with experience of account ownership
  • People management and leadership experience
  • P&L ownership and understanding
  • Account planning ownership
  • Experience of developing a executing a JBP
  • Experienced and proven Negotiation skills
  • Computer literacy - Microsoft Office / Analyser / Business Objects
  • Key Competencies: Results driven, Prioritisation, Analytical, Thinking Skills and Strategic Focus, Negotiating, Productive Communication, Collaboration.
