A homebased, Business Unit Controller role with the view to progress to director level very quickly, working for a bluechip company

This role is a pipeline role into a directorship with a large FMCG business, as National Account Controller you will manage a team of seven national account managers in the Foodservice/Away From Home channel. You will be responsible for increasing and driving the capability of the team and making changes where necessary. This business unit has a lot of 'white space' and category growth opportunity that this FMCG company wants to drive and be at the forefront of, so you need to be highly commercial and able to build and implement category and account growth strategy.


The successful Senior National Account Manager will have prior experience working in a similar position and level in the FMCG arena, ideally in a food or drink category. You will have good self-awareness, be a natural entrepreneur and be able to demonstrate the drive to influence and convince, in order to successfully achieve results.

You will be commercially aware with the personal attributes that are required to succeed in this position, which include tenacity, working to challenging deadlines [and in a changing environment!] and problem solving through creativity. In return you will have the autonomy and flexibility to take full accountability of your client base and unlock the growth potential that exists!

Job Offer

This role is being seen as a pipeline opportunity for a directorship within one of the most highly sought after employers in FMCG. This National Account Controller should be a cut above the rest and you should have outperformed your peer group to date in terms of results and career progression.

You must be adept at managing large teams of highly skilled individuals and ideally will have had experience at capability change/upskilling in the past. You must have worked with the away from home channel at some point, although this could be in any function, not necessarily national accounts.

There is flexibility on location for the right person as this company offer agile working but you must be willing to travel to London a couple of times a week.
