My client is a growing multi-national foodservice and retail company and due to consistent company growth are looking to add a Commercial Account Manager to their commercial team. The ideal candidate will have a Blue Chip background with strong commercial awareness and an effective account management background. This position will also be looking at new opportunities for the business and so will feature a strategic approach at developing new business relationships.

The Role:

  • Ownership of the relationship within an existing account portfolio
  • To resource, develop, and manage a network of manufacturers / suppliers within Central UK to supply into retail and foodservice
  • Carry our regular supplier and customer visits at stores and sites to develop opportunities
  • Undertake tasks to effect profitable sales initiatives
  • Deliver regular presentations and host customer/supplier meetings

The Candidate:

  • Experience within food retailing or manufacturing
  • Account Management/ Operational experience preferably within a food related environment
  • Good knowledge of bakery manufacturing and distribution base
  • Ideally have Retail/Contract Catering related experience
  • Presentation skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Have a strong desire to develop your career
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills at all levels
  • Numerate and self-motivated
