Rare opportunity to join a niche, growing artisan food business with continuing plans for development.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading high-end food business. Joining them as a Raw Materials Buyer you will work closely with the Head of Purchasing to develop and implement sourcing strategies, manage relationships with suppliers and manage the cost base in line with targets, whilst supporting new product development.

You will be of graduate calibre and have experience of working within a procurement function, ideally within the FMCG sector. A good understanding of value chains and cost drivers would be an advantage as would the ability to understand general purchasing systems and processes Strong influencing skills are a must as you'll be working closely with internal and external stakeholders. It's a fast moving, pressurised environment, so first class project management skills are essential as it the ability to cope with high workloads.

My client is a leading, niche food business who has seen substantial growth over the last few years. They supply artisan products to high-end retailers and foodservice businesses and currently has a turnover in excess of £40million. They have ambitious plans moving forward, so it's an exciting time to join the business.
