The National Account Manager role:
The job holder will report to and be supported by a highly experienced Head of Sales. Responsibilities will include:
- Forecasting and achieving sales results from a portfolio of retail accounts
- Working closely with buying teams to develop bespoke ranges that deliver a point of difference
- Negotiating with suppliers in order to build quotations
- Delivering exciting presentations to existing and prospect customers
- Understanding the market and be a trusted advisor for customers
- Driving category management initiatives and best practice
Candidate Profile of the National Account Manager:
Living within one hour of Birmingham (eg. West Midlands, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Northants, Oxfordshire, Leicestershire, Herefordshire, Staffordshire) we are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager or National Account Manager with a real flair for product development who can perform in this high-profile role. Suitable candidates will have the following profile:
- At least 3 years of experience managing key or national accounts
- Experience of driving product development in a branded or own-label environment
- Possess creative flair for design, materials and colour
- Experience of (or comfortable with) several Far-East trips each year
- A track record that demonstrates a positive contribution to past employers
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Highly engaging team player with great people skills
