National Account Manager – Grocery & Discounters
Up to £50,000 Basic + 20% Bonus + Company Car + Private Healthcare + Pension
Our client imports and distributes quality brands with a heritage that has given them national distribution and a presence with many well known retailers. This quality delivery has resulted in a major growth trend and due to this they need to strengthen their sales team by appointing a National Account Manager to manager at least 1 Grocery Account.
The main role is to develop business and sales strategy across your customer base building on an already established portfolio. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of category management and P&L responsibility. Reporting into a National Account Controller, your key performance indicators will include driving profitable sales volume and managing local and national trade promotional spend.
Developing relationships at head office level cross functionally including buying, category and supply chain teams.

- Previous FMCG experience, currently working in a national account position ideally Grocery / Discounter with P/L currently.
- Previous experience of working with data and able to interpret this data to help build commercial proposals
- An ability to negotiate at a level that maintains and builds the long-term relationship with a Top 4 is essential.
