Area Sales Manager - Maternity cover contract
Our client is well- known for their extensive ranges of branded products for the home and kitchen. Selling to many of the UK’s leading high street, grocery , departmental store and independent retailers they have an enviable reputation for customer service and range diversity.
They are currently looking for a dynamic, self- motivated Area Sales Manager to manage and develop their South West England territory on a fixed term maternity cover contract.
You will be responsible for managing existing and developing new business. Selling to independent retailers, departmental stores and garden centres you must be able to demonstrate your journey planning and territory development skills as well as the ability to plan ranges for your customers.
You should have strong presentation and communication skills together with a ‘can-do’ approach. You must be a self- starter able to work on your own initiative and be driven and motivated to achieve sales and distribution targets, maximising product sell-in and identifying opportunities for product sales training.
Preference will be given to candidates with a background in field sales gained in the FMCG non-food arena ideally housewares, giftware or similar with a proven track record of sales success.
You will be results oriented and have the ability to manage and develop a diverse customer base. You will be highly organised with a desire to work for a major player in the market place.
The successful candidate must live on the territory.
