My client is a luxury spirits company who boast a range of well known, premium brands. They have one of the most enviable spirits portfolio in the world and pride themselves not only on having brands of heritage, but on constantly developing their portfolio to remain with the changing trends in the drinks market.

Due to internal movements, they are looking to recruit a Senior National Account Manager to sit within their on trade national accounts team.

 You will be responsible for providing leadership and development for a team of National Account Managers. You will therefore need to be able to provide direction, feedback and development to individuals and team members at differing levels of their careers.  Inspiring and motivating others to perform in accordance with clear expectations and goals is important. It is therefore important that you come with a sound understanding of the key on trade national accounts in order to provide credible advice. You will need to have previously managed the likes of Wetherspoons, M&B, Stonegate, Matthew Clark etc.  These contacts are important in you being able to improve customer relationships by adopting a strategic approach: Clearly demonstrating the ability to see all the business development opportunities and analyse potential outcomes for each account via a monthly review with each NAM is a big part of this role.

To be considered for this role you will have a broad and deep understanding of the UK drinks industry and the associated channels within. Previous on-trade national account management experience is a must, as is experience of managing a team of mid-senior sales people within the on-trade.  A highly developed people management skill set, particularly coaching and performance management and strong analytical skills and a general commercial awareness is key.

 This role is one of the most high profile in the business, and therefore they are really looking for a well-established and hard-hitting SNAM to hit the ground running in this role.
