My Client is a globally known Consumer Electronics Manufacturer who is one of the market leaders in their industry. Since their incorporation they have seen excellent growth and success and are a recognised player in their market. My client is the home to three iconic brands within the electronics industry across Europe and the US, leading the world in innovation and design. Due to an exciting new company strategy, an opportunity has arisen for a New Product Development Manager to come in and help to launch new and exciting products to market.
As New Product Development Manager, you will report to the Director of Product Management. You will take full responsibility for a product category that you will lead a full go to market strategy for.
The three key areas you will take charge of are:
- Product and Category Strategy: Leading the creation of a 1-3-year product and category strategy. Taking into account, shaping of range, range management, pricing, forecasting and creating a clear and outstanding roadmap.
- Got to Market Strategy: Creating clear channel and distribution plans and timescales. Coordinating the relevant teams to drive the go to market strategy. Work with agreed budgets.
- Trading and maximising performance: Manage the portfolio from introduction to recommending when a SKU should be exited. Ensuring categories have agreed campaigns in place to support the growth targets Manage P&L and Gross Margin profits to ensure are hitting targets.

- Must have 3-8 years’ experience in a New Product Development/ Product Manager position or similar
- Must have experience of taking products to market and managing through full life cycle
- Must be from a non-food consumer goods background
- Demonstrable track record of proven success
- Someone who can understand ‘the whole picture’ not just the small-scale details
- Have an understanding of Marketing, Product Development, Sales and Sourcing to deliver product and category strategies
- Understanding and experience of working with Budgets and P&L
- Experience presenting to stakeholders
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Driven and passionate
- Hard working and determined
- Self-starter with a positive ‘can-d’ attitude
