National Account Managers
We are currently working with two leading independent Foodservice Wholesalers supplying multi temperature products to foodservice clients throughout the UK.
As a consequence, we have the following National Account Manager vacancies:
· National Account Manager – Food to Go Sector
· National Account Manager – Quick Service Restaurants ( QSR) Sector
· National Account Manager – Care Sector
· National Account Manager – Garden Centres
The positions are permanent, home based – England and Wales
Key Features of the Role:
The role will be to achieve or exceed sales and margin targets within your defined portfolio of accounts. Your accounts value will exceed £500k per account and will typically be in a range of £1m – 5m annual turnover.
Responsibilities of the role are:
· Achieve or exceed ledger financial targets in a manner conducive to maintaining ongoing business.
· Establish strong relationships both externally to include suppliers and internally to maintain business and achieve business goals and targets.
· Represent the Business in the best possible light at all times.
· Ensure Account agreed KPI's are met or exceeded.
· Carry out category reviews to change customer's products or seek product innovation to achieve targets with a high degree of understanding and sympathy to individual customer's needs and requirements.
· Carry out price reviews as scheduled by account with a view to achieving target
· Provide fully detailed product forecasts to Inventory as necessary with a view to achieving KPI’s
· Attend Commercial/Marketing organised events as directed. (Trade Shows/Speed Dating etc.)
Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidates will be experienced Regional and / or National Account Managers with experience having been gained with a delivered foodservice wholesaler and must have sector specific knowledge in one of the 4 sectors detailed above
You will be a “foodie”, a confident presenter with good food industry knowledge and the ability to build strong foundations with customers ensuring they can provide great Customer Service
You will need to be highly self-motivated person to achieve the goals and targets, able to work efficiently and independently within time constraints and ability to influence others.
You will have a thorough, in-depth knowledge of client, market and sector trends specific to one of the four sectors detailed above.
Highly developed analytical skills are essential, as are well developed IT/ PC skills (including Excel), and you must be able to interpret data and information in various formats.
You will be numerate, have excellent presentation and communication skills, be able to communicate at all levels, and be decisive, assertive and persuasive.
You will be innovative and demonstrate originality and creativity in solving problems and meeting the needs of the clients and the sector.
You will enjoy a high level of autonomy and therefore must be highly self-motivated to achieve agreed goals.
You will have strong negotiating skills and able to manage your own time effectively.
You will have the ability to develop and communicate sound commercial arguments, and have a thorough understanding of the cost drivers and their impact on our client’s operations and their customer.
A full driving licence is a prerequisite as there will be a requirement for travel throughout the country at different times.
What’s on Offer?

Basic salaries will be negotiable and will be around £40-55k per annum depending upon your experience for the Care Sector and Garden Centres roles.
For the Food to Go and QSR roles the basic salary will be around £60-70k.
For all positions, there is a bonus scheme, Company Car, etc.
