The Company:

Recognised as a market leader in our category, we are focussed on new growth by investing in the sales team.
The Role:
As a Sales Representative you will inherit an established area covering Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire and be tasked with managing existing accounts while prospecting for new business.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Create and follow a journey plan that achieves the targeted number of visits to established stockists and prospect accounts
- Build trusting relationships with garden centre owners, buyers and sales assistants
- Present the benefits of stocking the brand and be proactive in winning display space
- Identify opportunities to displace incumbent suppliers
- Report against the area sales plan, documenting all prospect and stockists calls
- Deliver excellent customer service, personally and through the merchandising team
The person for this Sales Representative role:
We are looking for an experienced field sales professional with a background selling to garden centres. A proven ability to manage a sales area with regular field sales visits is crucial. In addition we are looking for:
- Based in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire or Warwickshire
- Working as a field Sales Representative – presently calling on garden centres
- A dynamic individual and a self starter
- A proven track record of ability to open new accounts and grow area sales turnover
- Experience dealing with independent retailers
- Excellent sales skills. Able to influence decisions and close for sales orders
- Great personality – positive, likeable, good sense of humour, builds relationships easily
- Embraces being accountable for the area performance and prioritises constantly in order to meet targets
- Possess the potential and desire to progress to a more senior role
