The Company -
My client is an international distributor of branded spirits. With an excellent portfolio of brands, they have established relationships within the On and Off Trade and have an excellent reputation
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for both new business and account management.
Selling a range of branded spirits across the North London territory, you will be targeting small regional groups, on and off trade businesses and wholesale. You will be targeted on brand activation, positioning and distribution, as well as achieving new listings. This is 100% field based role and they only want to hear from hunters who are passionate about the spirits and drinks industry, following trends and attending Trade Shows.
To be considered for this position you MUST have bar management experience and worked closely with spirits. Understanding the perfect serve and creating cocktail lists is a must! You will have already worked in a cocktail bar or been a bar manager and have at least a year’s sales experience
THE ROLE –
- Introduce and sell a Wines and Spirits portfolio to new and existing outlets within Independent Free Trade and Leased outlets within North London
- Merchandise all products within outlets and place Point of Sale material in primary display space to maximise visibility and awareness of brands.
- Apply brand building techniques in appropriate outlets on core brands, staff training, perfect serves, menu presence, brand activation and sampling.
- ‘Network’ with customers and wholesale account managers to develop incremental business through building relationships.
- Effectively plan and manage the working day to ensure coverage is achieved at key trading times of customers. This will involve evening work
- Be aware of workload (calls, frequencies, priorities etc.) and prepare journey plans in accordance
- Keep up to date with all relevant CGA data, trade, company, marketing and product information.
- Submit all reports, requests and correspondence within agreed time frames.
- Attend trade events and support Regional Sales Manager / National Account Manager at Trade Shows as directed by your line manager
YOU–
- Good connections within the London bar industry – a real name on the scene!
- Be comfortable cold calling presenting and delivering training / tasting sessions.
- knowledge of Spirits and management/supervisory experience.
- Persistent with a positive attitude, self-starter and a creative thinker
- Reliable & able to meet deadlines
- Degree educated
- Full UK driving license
- An enthusiasm for spirits and a working knowledge of cocktails will also be looked upon favourably. Strong presentation skills are also desirable.
