COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR, NIELSEN SPORTS UK

To continue our strong growth, Nielsen Sports is seeking a talented sports marketing professional to be based in our London Paddington office. This leader will be responsible for creating, developing, and selling integrated solutions to brands, rights holders, broadcasters and agencies in sports and entertainment. Reporting to the Managing DIrector, this person will be responsible for driving new business initiatives as well as leading the new business development function.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

��� Lead our business development team while developing a sales plan alongside the Senior Management Team
��� Target and identify potential clients through networking, outreach, and other creative initiatives to start meaningful business conversations
��� Work with wider Nielsen's extensive client base and new business organizations to deliver consultative solutions to the revenue or brand marketing challenges.
��� Manage conversation to conclusion including presentation and proposal generation, contract creation and editing, and oversee briefing of our Client Service function.
��� Work closely with MD, and Heads of Marketing, Consulting, Research, Digital & Services to ensure clear communication and expectation management with clients.
��� Lead, manage and set direction for the new business development team
��� Overall responsibility for the new business target
��� Deliver measurable results based on performance targets
��� Manage pipeline of prospective clients and provide regular updates on communications and status on all efforts made to generate new business
��� Represent Nielsen at conferences, meetings, networking events, and other marketing initiatives
��� Identify, and develop strategies to expand our offering to new industries and sectors

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
��� Significant experience within the sports and entertainment landscape either on the brand side or rights holder/properties.
��� Proven track record with measureable results
��� Knowledge of the UKI sports and entertainment sponsorship landscape
��� Understanding of both quantitative and qualitative research methods and appropriate use in market
��� Exposure to Nielsen Sports reports would be beneficial but not mandatory
��� A results and outcome focused attitude with the ability to be self sufficient
��� Strong knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint
��� Excellent oral and written communication skills
��� Ability to travel on short notice to client meetings as necessary
