Business Development Manager - Chemicals
My client is a leading name in the Chemical and Food Ingredients sector, specialising in a number of areas within the Surfactants market. They have strong sales, brand names and a solid position in the market. They have a focus on core values and delivering high performance whilst maintaining and striving for improvement in every element of their work.
My client is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help them further expand their presence across the UK within Chemical sector. Reporting into the Head of UK Sales you will be a senior member of the UK team and be expected to lead by example in a challenging market.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Looking after key retail accounts
- Growing new business within lost or new accounts
- Increasing Turnover across your client base
- P & L Responsibility
The role will require travel to meet with and develop key clients and when not out visiting customers you will be office based, as such being located in the West Midlands region would be advantageous.
The right person for this role will have a strong background within non Food FMCG/ Chemical products, ideally having 3 years in a Business Development/National Account Manager role or similar.
You will have a desire to succeed in everything that you do, whilst maintaining long lasting relationships at all levels within a client. You will have an understanding of how to build Joint Business Plans and ensure that products are positioned correctly to gain the maximum traction.
