The Company

My client is an innovative wholesale company importing premium champagnes, Wines & spirits with exclusive UK rights to the brands they represent.

The company are experiencing a period of expansion and they are looking for someone to represent their existing portfolio of Spirit brands and generate new business. The scope is phenomenal for this role as you will be the first person looking after their spirits portfolio, you will drive sales, and contact new brand owners to on board new brands.

You will begin by working alongside the existing sales team, but eventually they will open a new spirits division for the company and you will be in charge of this, progressing to director with potential equity shares.


You are a people person, very confident and outgoing with great idea’s. You will not only live & breathe the brand but you will also have an entrepreneurial mindset to generate creative ideas to push the business forward, across events and any other opportunities.

You will have worked in a similar position as perhaps a BDE within the drinks industry (premium spirits) for a year and you will be highly organised at developing and retaining a successful territory. You will have existing contacts with bars, nightclubs and cocktail venues in London and have proven success within your CV.

If you have dealt with Brand owners directly, then this will work in your favour, you will be IT literate and have used CRM systems before.

Ultimately you must have a love of quality premium drinks and be completely passionate about the drinks industry, showing knowledge and enthusiasm for spirits, having kept up to date with new launches, trade shows and events, as this is not a brand ambassador position, you must meet KPI’s and targets and really be tenacious and driven. You will work closely with the owners of the business, as you will report to the board of directors

The Role

The role of the BDM is to maintain and promote the culture of the company whilst generating new business through strong relationship building. You will be focusing in the premium on-trade (Cocktail venues, bars, clubs)

You will maximise both brand visibility and sales volumes in London.

You will Prospect and open new accounts, develop a pipeline of potential and sustainable new business to grow the account base. participate in evening and weekend promotions / events / trade shows, whilst also creating innovative ideas for events to grow the brand.
