Assistant Brand Manager

This company is a leading consumer products company and are looking for an assistant brand manager to join the team. The main purpose of the role is to develop new products and communication campaigns to drive market share and sales.  

Primary responsibilities: 

  • Working with the Product & Brand Manager and the external manufacturers to develop a 3 year product and communications roadmap 
  • Adhering to the full stage gate process to deliver product development projects successfully and on time to market 
  • Regular tracking in competitor activity, market trends and consumer insights to aid new product development decision making
  • Develop legal and regulatory compliant brand positioning, pricing and sizing strategy, unique selling propositions and product claims 
  • Assisting the Product & Brand Manager with the yearly budget
  • Work with external design agencies to develop best in class packaging, artwork and campaign materials in line with brand guidelines 

The successful candidate:     

  • 2+ years’ FMCG experience
  • Marketing or Business degree
  • Experience of the full marketing mix, with a particular emphasis on product development, marketing communication and consumer insight
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen
