We are currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to cover the North.
Role Purpose Statement
The RSM is a key member in the Divisional Senior Leadership Team whose collective role is to grow the Independent business in line with the Company 5 year plan.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • To develop, lead, coach and motivate the Regional Field Sales Team.
  • To lead the drive for service improvement in their region, by developing a communication plan and helping the business to prioritise resources
  • To lead the development, review and delivery of the Regional Business Plan in order to achieve Regional targets, specifically:
    • Increase number of buying customers (NOBC)
    • Sales turnover in terms of Gross Profit (£ & %) & Net Margin (£ & %)
  • Deliver Company, Marketing and Business Strategies & Priorities
  • Effective deployment of budgeted Regional resources (people, equipment, costs)
  • To review regional activity and act as a catalyst for Regional solutions, focussing on Regional account ownership & Regional competitor activity
  • An ability to build great business relationships and influence at all levels​
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • COMMERCIAL - able to interpret the market and formulate a regional plan in line with Divisional Strategy to beat the competition, with full appreciation of the commercial and financial dynamics in the business, focusing on growth.
  • FUNCTIONAL - possesses the Sales Leadership capability to align and motivate a team of sales people to deliver a consistent and profitable sales performance.
  • RELATIONAL - is a brilliant communicator, able to role model how a Brakes person acts with colleagues and customers.
  • Experience man manager with ability to train and motivate with understanding of coaching and Performance Management- or shows great potential
  • GENERAL - builds great teams by inspiring, motivating and engaging commitment
  • Has knowledge of market and competitors
  • Has a broad understanding of their customers and their needs
  • IT literacy and analytics
  • Develops and executes successful sales strategy. Being strategic minded but equally tactical as appropriate.
  • Appropriate deployment of resources to meet the needs of all our customers - prioritizing those with most need versus risk
  • Creates, leads and motivates high performing teams
  • People and relationship focus to coach and develop people to their highest potential
  • Manages performance effectively
