Senior National Account Manager – Branded FMCG

To £55,000 Basic,  Bonus, Company Car + Benefits

Our Client supplies a range of Branded FMCG Products (Snacks, Biscuits, Cakes, Soft Drinks etc) to the Retail channel. A vacancy exists for a Senior NAM to manage and develop the Asda and Morrisons accounts.

Our Client is looking for an experienced NAM / SNAM and with recent / current exposure to either Asda and / or Morrisons. Exposure to one or the other is essential. Both would be best.

Candidates should have current contacts within either ( or better still both ) of the above accounts, especially at a broader level than just the buyers. They are looking for senior people who know, not just the buyers, but also more senior contacts at a strategic level, such as buying controllers or directors, category managers / food technologists  etc. Contacts across multiple buyers / multiple categories would also be a bonus. They need somebody who can grasp this opportunity by the lapels and drive it home.

As a senior NAM, candidates should be fully up to speed with the usual SNAM skill sets, for example category management, insight data, data manipulation etc

They will look at candidates from a Branded or an own label background but there is a preference for branded, or better still a knowledge of both.

It’s very important that candidates come from a very fast moving category.

Location – this is a field based role, so when the job holder isn’t out with customers they would normally work from home. They will need to be in the office however in the South about once every two weeks ( they can stay over the night before if they want to ). The ideal location for the job holder to live would be between the M62 corridor and Birmingham.

Remuneration – up to £55k basic. 15% bonus. Company car. Career prospects are also excellent for the right candidate.
