Head of Sales
Location: Lincolnshire
Salary: Circa £50-£60k, car, bonus + other benefits
Our client is a leading and highly established specialist within the fresh produce industry and as a result of continued growth they are now seeking an experienced and commercially astute Head of Sales to lead an established sales team and business.
This role, reporting into the MD will be responsible for development and delivery of the business strategy for the unit, leading the team to higher levels of growth and profitability.
Key Accountabilities:
*Development, implementation and deliver of the commercial and sales strategy for the unit sales and marketing activities against financial targets.
*Management and motivation of an experienced and capable sales team, ensuring through training and development that all staff are performing at a high level.
*Maintaining a strong understanding of the sector to ensure key stakeholders and sales team members are up to date on commercial movements and practises.
*Development of existing customer accounts and generation of new sales opportunities and channels.
*Creation of innovative marketing concepts to increase overall brand awareness and promote the specialist products of the unit.
*Development of supplier relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the supply chain from company to customer.
Experience:
*An established background in sales management within the Agriculture, Fresh Produce or Horticulture sector is essential for this role.
*A proven track record of sales management, along with marketing and account management duties.
*Experience of leading and developing sales teams.
*Strong sales and negotiation skills as well as a personable approach to in house communication.
*Ideally a degree in Sales, Agriculture or Agronomy.
This role will require frequent travel throughout the UK so a full driving license is essential. Some international travel will also be required.
