NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER - BREAKFAST CEREALS

C£40k +bonus and car allowance

Are you looking to develop your National Account experience with an instantly recognised brand? We are looking for a proven winner to develop sales in a growing area of the company’s business. Breakfast cereals are an important but under-developed part of the product portfolio. The role is to build and develop relationships with all the major multiples with a brand already well known to them. Using sophisticated market insight resources within the company, you will create annual sales plans and a promotional calendar  to build category credibility and inclusion. The ultimate aim is a profitable partnership between Eat Natural and key customers. You will also develop sales of the entire Eat Natural range with online retailers such as Ocado and Tesco online. 

Key responsibilities:

  • To grow sales of the breakfast cereals range with all the major supermarket multiples.
  • To establish the role as the key point of contact with senior buyers and category managers in those multiples
  • To create agreed annual sales plans for each retailer and achieve those sales
  • To create a promotional package to increase awareness and interest in the range.
  • To work closely with all members of the marketing team to achieve set goals.
  • To welcome the close support of a highly experienced NAM-major multiples, learning and taking advice but focussing on your product range
  • To develop an immature sales channel in online retail and exploit its potential for future growth for the entire Eat Natural range.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree level of education followed by formal training in sales and account management for well known packaged food or non food FMCG companies dealing with first or second tier multiple retailers.
  • A strong, proven track record of category growth in terms of turnover, range extension and profit.
  • A record of new business wins in major multiple retail and experience in growing business in online accounts such as Ocado and online divisions of the major retail multiples.
  • A desire to ‘hunt’ new accounts as well as ‘farm’ existing ones.
  • A strong commercial awareness.
  • Good IT skills, including MS Office, Powerpoint and Excel
  • The presence to inspire hard-nosed buyers and the cooperation of internal teams in sales, marketing, operations and production.
