JOB PROFILE: Finance Analyst REPORTS TO: Head of Finance
Purpose Statement
  • To provide strategic analysis and support to the Regional Finance Managers, through insight into Woodward’s business performance at a variety of levels (region, customer, product & category, etc.).
  • Understand the drivers of results compared to budget/forecast and YoY and leveraging such analysis into deliverable guidance/recommendations to the regional teams.
  • Ensuring that Business processes are met while supporting the Regional Sales teams in driving profitable solutions.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Work with the regional teams to pull together the annual budget and rolling projections
  • Reporting and monitoring on divisional key performance indicators; sales, profitability ratios, and investigating variances to budget or year on year movements
  • Produce Financial Evaluations for New Business and large opportunities within existing customers and communicate the results to all stake holders.
  • Liaise with sales teams, regional finance managers, attend sales meetings.
  • Responsible for pricing queries and management of rebates
  • Responsible for the timely distribution of bonus targets and monthly statements, investigating and resolving any queries.
  • Act as a central point of contact for internal customers for finance related queries.
  • Producing ad-hoc reports/presentations as required to drive business results.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
  • The candidate should have previous experience of working in a commercial environment and be part qualified in CIMA, ACCA, ACA
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • High level of commercial awareness
  • High level of competency in financial analysis and modeling
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Accomplished interpersonal skills
Experience and understanding of the foodservice industry
Knowledge of SAP/BW reporting
