A high profile branded business with a network of 450 specialist retailers throughout the UK. In a business that is enjoying rapid product and market innovation it is vital for each outlet to maximise visual impact and in-store sales skill to achieve sell through targets. Following an internal promotion this is an opportunity for a new Retail Area Manager to join the team.
The Role of Retail Area Manager:
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this is a home based role visiting branches in your area to:
- Assess visual presentation and advise and implement positive changes.
- Communicate with the branch manager to build a planned programme of improvement.
- Install and update shop fittings as required.
- Assist with the product training of in-store sales staff.
- Enthuse retail staff to want to achieve more.
- Identify new sales opportunities and build strong in-store relationships.
A Retail Area Manager who demonstrated success and capability at this level would enjoy an excellent future career path into field sales, training or marketing. The job holder will need to travel throughout the region and this will require several nights away from home each month.
A negotiable basic salary plus company van, 25 days holiday, private healthcare, private dental care, contributory pension, subsidised gym membership, childcare vouchers, product discounts.
Retail Area Manager profile:
Living in Warwickshire, Oxfordshire or Buckinghamshire.
A retail expert with advanced knowledge of shop layouts, product promotion and setting up displays.
Likely to be employed as a Store Manager, Department Manager, Area Manager or Merchandiser.
An excellent communicator. Able to speak to demanding store managers and groups of in-store staff.
Entirely reliable and able to stay away from home when required.
Full driving licence.
You will have a passion for customer service and strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to problem solve.
