About the Role

Are you passionate about building in depth knowledge of a product category and building and driving forward the growth of this category so that it exceeds performance targets?
The key areas of responsibility for a Category Analyst in Refresco are:

To strengthen existing and establish new retailer relationships in our product categories with the aim of moving Refresco Beverages UK towards indispensable partner status to drive supplier, category & customer growth;
To attend off-site visits with retailer customers, either individually or as part of a wider team;
To act as a partner to our internal Commercial team by providing category and customer insight that helps shape strategies & tactics, including external / internal information strategy;
To identify & clearly define the key category and customer risks / opportunities generating the relevant insight needed to resolve these;
To develop and deliver key monthly reports using data for internal and external stakeholders;
To work closely with external continuous data providers to ensure that their databases are coded correctly and maintained;
To keep up to date with new data services and make recommendations where it is felt that a new data service could add value to the category team’s work;
Conduct monthly store visits in order to collate key market insight including merchandising changes and new products;
Maintain photographic images of the category fixtures for each key customer ;
Maintain an image library of all live products in the market;
Contribute/take responsibility for specific new product development / Category projects ;
Support line manager in continuing to raise profile of Category function within Refresco Beverages.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic, professional product category specialist, career minded and looking to develop quickly in to a Category Manager role. The role requires experience working in an FMCG or Manufacturing environment, in a product category team and working in the food and drinks sector will be a good advantage. Knowledge and experience of the category management process is highly preferable.
The role requires excellent presentation skills , strong computer literacy and strong analytical skills. In addition excellent listening and influencing is essential as this role liaises with our key customers on a daily basis.

We work with all the leading UK retailers including Tesco, ASDA, Morrison's and Sainsbury to produce their private labels and with branded customers such as Innocent, Ocean Spray and Um Bongo.
Refresco floated publicly on the Euronext stock exchange in March 2015. In July 2016 we announced the acquisition of Whitlock Packaging in the US, our first foray in to the US drinks market, adding 900 million litres of drinks per annum to our production.
