We are currently working with an innovative Fresh Food supplier who have seen fantastic growth in the last few years thanks to their ability to innovate in a competitive market. As a result of this, they are now looking for a National Account Manager to help them continue this progression and ensure this business has the required support in place. The ideal person will have a good background in Retail facing account management and may be looking to diversify their customer range, as they deal with the majority of the major retailers. They are open minded for someone looking to step up into their first Account Manager role as well.

The Job

As the Account Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of a number of their retail and manufacturing accounts. You will be given all the "tools" that you require to do this well and they will ensure you are supported where needed. As well as maintaining the business that has been won, you will be looking for any opportunities to improve this where possible. The category that they are in has seen a phenomenal growth in the last few years and they are right at the forefront of innovating within it. You will also need to maintain close relationships with the broader business, to ensure the required supply is available to the customers.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have had a similar Account Management / Commercial job previously, or could have been an Account Executive looking to take their first step up. Either way, a background in fresh food/manufacturing is essential and preferably having dealt with the retailers. Good communication skills will stand you in good stead, as there are a lot of stakeholders to liaise with. The ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks will be essential. Attitude is a key part for them. They are a close knit team and as such it is really important that the "fit" is right.
