National Account Manager - Tesco Ireland

Our client is a global and market leading blue chip company looking for someone to join their national accounts team for an interim 9-12 month maternity cover. If you are an experienced National Account Manager with a background in grocery accounts then this could be the opportunity for you. The chance to move into a permanent position within this team will become available for an ambitious and over performing individual.

The position will involve full P&L management of our client's Tesco Ireland business. You will be involved from the outset in creating the joint business plan and setting the direction for the account.

Key responsibilities:
  • Customer Management - Deliver JBP and establish regular contact with key customer personnel up to buyer level and senior buyer level
  • Business & Strategic Planning - Develop and execute JBP and set clear direction for cross functional teams to assist in developing wider account annual plans
  • Financial Acumen - Use a variety of numerical data sources which can build the account plan and key customer presentations
  • Uses data, commercial information, brand information, consumer information and category management principles to influence the Customer's Buying, Marketing, Category and Logistic teams, up to Controller level


Requirements:
  • Previous grocery account management experience
  • Tesco Ireland experience will benefit you significantly
  • FMCG background in food
  • Interpersonal and negotiation skills across hierarchical levels
  • Computer skills
  • Numeracy
  • Marketing or supply chain experience advantageous


You must be immediately available or able to start mid/late March. The position is field based from anywhere in the UK with an expectation of travel to Ireland once a fortnight. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in a branded and Blue Chip Company.
