This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior National Account Manager to take on a high profile, strategically important role working for a £2 Billion IT and Tech organisation managing a hugely significant piece of business – Shop Direct Group and Home Direct Group. There is also limited existing business with JLP and DSG that is ripe for long term development. They enjoy an excellent reputation with their customers, operating primarily in the IT, Tech and Mobile space, working with major brands such as Apple, Samsung, HTC, Lenovo, Microsoft and others.
You will work closely with both the Retail MD and Sales Director - ideally in time replacing him and moving both yours and his career forward in the business – but initially your focus is to develop your customer base through solid account planning and management. Home based on the M40/M6 corridor you will be required to be in Head Office in Reading and with customers every week. Commercial sharpness and sales savvy will allow you to leverage existing strong trading relationships to win new business and open dialogue to drive existing sales further.
They are looking for a special skill set/vision when dealing with customers – you will be a “transformer” of accounts, essentially someone who can analyse an account and make it better – whether that be through cost reductions in supply chain, or spotting opportunities for new product streams.
Ideally from either an FMCG non-food or IT/Tech background, you will have existing exposure to National Account Management of Grocery, High Street, Online or IT distribution. You will be capable of sustaining a fast working pace, managing different projects and handling a variety of contacts both internally and externally, with a solid focus on delivering the best possible customer proposition. We look for clear, concise and self-motivated individuals, able to pick up accounts and spot the issues and opportunities, with a strong understanding of supply chain and its implications on customer satisfaction and achievement of targets and account growth.
