Commercial Account Manager - Field Controller – Global Travel (Park Royal)

Passenger numbers are increasing at 4% per year, and are forecast to double by 2030, to nearly 2 billion.
We have changed the way our brands connect with consumers when travelling; the business covers all travel retail channels – airports, airlines, cruise, and ferry, and border, diplomatic and military channels. The airport channel is a particular important channel as it has a massive impact on the overall global brand awareness, as well as driving a strong commercial return. The mix of consumers through the channel also means that this is the leading luxury business within Diageo, accounting for up to 50% of key luxury brands within Diageo’s portfolio.
To ensure we continue to have the impact and grow in line with our ambitious growth plans, we have a newly created role in the field sales channel; the Field Sales Controller will be based in our Global Headquarters in Park Royal (NW10 7HQ) with regular travel within the field – reporting into the European Commercial Director it will manage up to 8 remotely based direct reports, who are field-based Sales Execution Managers, owners of their respective territories.
The Field Sales Controller will drive relationships across territory with customers to ensure Diageo is the supplier of choice, via excellent customer management and powerful relationships with priority customers, route to market, distributors and internal stakeholders.
We’re looking for an individual who is a black belt at account management (ideally within the off-trade / grocery channel) with a drive to be the best: a brilliant negotiator, influencer and leader.
