Senior Product Developer

This is a fabulous opportunity to join a growing innovation team within an industry leading food manufacturing business.

As Senior Product Developer you will work alongside the chef to translate recipes into viable commercial products, benchmark products regularly to gain awareness of the market for a competitive advantage and provide a highly developed level of technical competence and experience to lead and support projects with a focus on new product development and product line extensions.

Main responsibilities

You will be required to write cooking instructions in line with customer and safety requirements to meet retailer best practice, whilst contributing to idea generation within the team to maximise competitor advantage. Working with the manufacturing team to verify feasibility of products going into manufacturing environment in addition to presenting new products and upgrades to the Innovation Manager in a professional manner.

Ideal candidate

Of graduate calibre, perhaps via an apprentice route, you'll have previous experience of working in a fast paced environment with an awareness of project management techniques, in particular critical path and gated processes.

Within the role of Senior Product Developer, a good knowledge of food is a must, but we'll also be looking for you to be analytical and numerate with good communication skills.
