My client, one of the UK's largest suppliers of Toy's, has found the need for a new National Account Manager to join its well-established team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has an entrepreneurial attitude to assist in producing world class product ranges and contribute to the strategic direction/ development of the business.

They are key player in the Toys industry, positioning themselves at the premium end of the market, with global coverage. They are renowned for their high-quality brands, strong licenses and they pride themselves on their customer service. They are a design led company, offering a diverse collection of products which are unique and different.

The role

As the National Account Manager, you will report directly into the Senior National Account Manager and you will have the responsibility to look after several different accounts. This role is a split between office and home-based and you will be expected to manage your own diary to maximise on customer meetings.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Creating your strategic channel growth plan
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing joint business plans. This will include terms and account investment plans, distribution gains, promotional plans and new product opportunities.
  • Create and develop superior customer relationships.
  • Negotiate trading terms.
  • Generate long term sustainable business relationships
  • Build strong internal relationships and work cross functionally within the business.
  • Sales Forecasting

The role will allow you to have P&L responsibility for your accounts as well as forecasting and target setting in line with the business. This will provide you with the full autonomy and freedom to grow and develop the channel based on your strategic plan.

Ideally, you will be an accomplished National Account Manager who has come from Toys, greetings, publishing or Gifting product background however they will look at people from other Consumer related product categories.
