Senior Trading Controller

An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Senior Trading Controller in the recently formed business Unitas Wholesale Limited based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

Unitas Wholesale Limited was formed from the merger of Today’s Wholesale Services Limited with Landmark Wholesale Limited and is independently owned by its members, some of the most well known names in UK food and drink wholesaling. With a combined member turnover of £8.5 billion through our Retail, Foodservice, On-Trade and Specialist partners, our mission is to be the “Champion of Independents” and a “Champion of Brands”. 

Reporting to the Trading Director, the role involves the management of one our key trading areas. This encompasses the management and development of a team of Trading Controllers, negotiating with suppliers at senior level to maximise sales, earnings and benefits for our members.  We would also require any successful candidate to be a pro-active strategic thinking member of the senior management team.

The ideal candidate will be from a buying background within the Wholesale, Convenience or Multiple FMCG channels with several years’ experience. For the right individual, the path to future promotion and development exists within our organisation, therefore experience of managing strategic projects as well as budgets and people are the qualities we are seeking.
