Metal Beverage Packaging

This is an exceptional opportunity to join Ball Beverage Packaging, part of the Ball Corporation, the largest producer of recyclable metal cans in the world with over 100 locations and 17,500 employees. 

Manufacturing printed aluminium cans and can ends across 20 plants in 15 European countries, their innovative approaches allows them to offer a diverse portfolio of products and added value finishes, special effects and graphics.  Their vision is to make the can the most sustainable package in the beverage supply chain.

We are now seeking to attract a dynamic, entrepreneurial and proactive Sales Manager who will report to, and work closely with, the UK Sales Director to lead and strategically manage all major UK customers. Delivering best in class, collaborative and engaging customer relationships, through effective stakeholder co-ordination at all levels, you will drive further profitable growth and commercialise sustainability opportunities.

Your broad remit will include:

  • Managing a £multi-million key account portfolio, including P&L delivery, new business development and contract negotiation.
  • Embracing and leading the delivery of packaging sustainability, working with market leading brands.
  • Working with the UK Sales Director to devise and implement innovative UK sales strategy.
  • Driving and leading customer implementation projects and managing meetings with all key decision makes internally and externally.
  • Ensuring internal company functions work to deliver highest customer service.
  • Implementing an effective volume pipeline and lead tracking process.

We are looking for a commercially focused and balanced individual, with a strong mind-set to drive and deliver growth in the UK and Ireland.  With vast levels of experience in relationship management and great personal impact and influencing abilities, you will be an adaptive and progressive individual, comfortable with conflict management and agility in decision making.  This experience will have been gained in a high complexity, food/FMCG/packaging environment. 

Key to success will be a customer-focused mindset, the ability to communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels, skills in business case development and experience in working in a matrix team environment, focused on providing solutions and innovation.
