Natioanl Account Manager - Aldi / Lidl  - Challenger food brand

Having established the evitable position as the fastest growing brand in category, our client has a reputation for quality, innovation and success. The brand has extended into a range of premium snack propositions including its market leading position across a number of new categories. They have won a number of major awards and have been recognised for both their UK and International success. Due to ambitious growth plans in the discounter channel, a new appointment has been created.

 Reporting into the Senior National Account Manager you will support and be fully involved in all activity to drive their private label business within Aldi and Lidl accounts both in the UK and international. You will be tasked with developing and protecting existing business through strong contact strategies and JBPs. You will also assist with the development of a profitable private label business accelerating growth from £6m to £18m+ over the next 3-5 years. Day to day you will assist with the management and development of Aldi/Lidl accounts building long term commercial success through partnerships, mutual reliance and nurturing of key relationships.  Due to the international element of the role some international travel will be required.

 You will be an articulate, intelligent and credible individual with previous experience of discounter account management and more specifically Aldi and Lidl. Due to the aggressive growth plans for this channel an understanding of the inner working for the accounts is a must. You will also be self-motivated and achievement orientated, with strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills. Although this is classed as a Junior National Account Manager role, the day to day running is more in line with what a National Account Manager would do so you may be a National Account exec at the moment looking for a position with more autonomy and responsibility.  An understanding of the impulse channel is important as is knowledge of the own label sector. You will be a team player with a real passion for success and personal development.
