National Account Manager – Foodservice End User

My client are a leading manufacturer of high quality dairy products, this family owned business are a traditional foodservice manufacturer and have had huge success over the years - due to recent acquisitions they are now worth €1bn. They distribute some of the UK’s best-known brands along with own label products. As one of the fastest growing divisions within foodservice, this appointment is strategically linked to their long-term planning.
Role
Reporting into the Business Unit Controller - as National Account Manager you will take full responsibility for developing profitable and sustainable growth within an agreed portfolio of foodservice customers. You will work closely with your account portfolio, developing joint business plans and maximising new business opportunities.
Other Accountabilities Will Include:
- Full P&L responsibility for your accounts
- Developing and growing the accounts within your customer portfolio
- Identify potential new business and new opportunities, working cross functionally within the business to ensure any opportunities are viable
- Liaising with various internal departments to ensure that customer needs are met
- Managing budgets and negotiating key variables
- National travel to visit your customers (with overnight stays)
Requirements
To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you must have a proven track record of successfully managing Foodservice customers – preferably in Hotels, Pubs or QSR.
You will be a passionate self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision, have great initiative, and fantastic relationship building skills. Experience in a catering background would be highly beneficial.
Experience with OL and Branded manufacturing is essential, along with a full valid driving licence.
