Job Details

Account Controller – Sainsbury’s, required for a category leading supplier of premium chilled / frozen ranges as both branded and private label offerings.

A recognised and sizeable multi-site operator, this business is recognised as a leading player when it comes to delivering innovative solutions to every major grocery retailer and working in collaboration with each to shape the future performance of the categories they operate within.

Following the conclusion of their annual succession planning – a core value of their business culture – they have identified the need to recruit a high-calibre and experienced individual to assume total accountability for their Sainsbury’s customer relationship.

This appointment will be a high-profile and business critical role within the company’s commercial structure, influencing and driving the performance of one of their most established customer relationships.

You will be responsible for the implementation of annual commercial and joint business plans and networking at senior customer contact levels up to and including Category Director, for the multi-category and sizeable £multi-million relationship.

Responsible for leading a cross functional team with direct reports across sales, category and innovation, the role requires experienced individuals with a demonstrable record of effective project management within fast-paced, preferably chilled manufacturing food and/or beverage environments.

The business has demonstrated impressive organic growth for several consecutive years largely through industry leading innovation and category process but is actively exploring acquisition targets during 2019 to further support their ambitious growth plans.
