Business Development Manager-FMCG Premium Building Supplies

£40,000-£45,000 + competitive commission & package

Do you have a passion for selling and negotiating?  Are you confident, outgoing and love meeting new people, and find targets motivating!?

We are looking for someone who has a strong background in FMCG sales, you will have already completed a couple of years in a field-based selling role, learning, developing and enhancing your sales skills

This is an immediate requirement for a target driven, outgoing and creative sales person to grow and develop the business by identifying new key accounts and locations.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Business Development –Actively pursuing new sales opportunities and following up leads to deliver contracts in the retail and business sector
  • Account Management – Ensuring the company is maximising all sales opportunities with existing client base and continuing to provide excellent service and support
  • Maintain and develop a wide network of contacts and build effective relationships within the market place through which you will generate opportunities for new business
  • Help prepare and deliver all aspects of the strategic sales process including tenders & presentations
  • Maintain strong knowledge of market trends including client and competitor activity and industry innovations
  • Actively contribute towards the successful delivery of the divisions business plan and targets

Experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in FMCG field sales role, e.g. territory sale representative
  • A track record of sales success in a similar role is essential
  • Strong organisational skills – you will be managing your own diary and reacting to opportunities as they arise
  • Creative and entrepreneurial flair – proactively seeks to develop and improve the business every day. A ‘can do’ approach!
  • Experienced in winning new business relationships
