Job Details
MERCHANDISING & SUPPLY CHAIN CO-ORDINATOR
We are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic person to join our BGC Ltd in the continued development of our growing company. This is an active and fast-moving position and a great opportunity for the right candidate working full time Monday to Friday 8am – 4.30pm.
Main Duties
- Analysing sales data to forecast re-orders
- Raising purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Managing delivery schedules by liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Compiling sell-through reports and liaising with the Product Manager on new range plan proposals
- Auto-replenish stock to branches to ensure optimum sales at all times, taking into account seasonal peaks
- Collating branch order quantities, ensuring they are in-line with potential sales
- Liaising with the Stock Controller regarding stock inventory issues & queries
- Maintaining accurate system data
- Dealing with internal queries from colleagues
Requirements
- Need to be logical, numerate, accurate & a problem solver
- Strong administrative background
- Supply chain knowledge is essential
- Excellent telephone manner - you must be polite, friendly and enthusiastic
- Maintain strong communication links with vendors
- Must be diligent as attention to detail is key
- Must be a team player and also have the ability to work on your own initiative
- Excellent knowledge and proficiency in all Microsoft Office Packages
- Advanced Excel including VLOOKUP & Pivot tables. Macros would be an advantage but not essential
- Must be able to communicate well with customers, suppliers and colleagues both verbally and written
- Ability to be resourceful with a positive can do attitude
- Hard working and flexible with the ability to multi-task
Required Experience
- The successful candidate will be able to evidence significant experience of supply chains, inventory management and category/procurement supervision.
