This is a rare opportunity for you to impact and influence right across the business and provide a true business partnering solution to key stakeholders and cost centres.

This global company, which specialises in food and drink packaging, is at the forefront of change, in a rapidly evolving sector, with the big focus on recycling.

You most definitely won't be stuck in an office; to truly get under the skin of the business, you'll need to be visible on the shop floor, to understand the impact of production fluctuations, labour anomalies and market conditions. In other words, this role is about far more than accurate financial reporting. You'll need real commercial nous and a 360 degree appreciation of the beating heart of the business.

At a basic level you will need to be CIMA qualified with a thorough understanding of Excel and spreadsheet reporting, forecasting and cost control. This in-depth knowledge will enable you to simplify and streamline what is currently a highly complex reporting system. Naturally, keeping so many plates spinning in a fast-moving and changeable environment will also call for a high degree of resilience, gravitas and diplomacy.
