Head of NPD & Sourcing - Sports Nutrition / Nutraceticals

My client is a new venture, seed stage start-up in sports nutrition. Comprising a team of pioneering internet entrepreneurs from well-known disruptive online brands, they are in the process of securing the funding that will help them unleash plans in the UK and US markets.

Critical to launch is the recruitment of several key positions including this all encompassing product / range leadership role.

Reporting to the CEO,  y ou will own all aspects of our product development and sourcing strategy, including packaging, labelling and promotional materials, from insights and research to range planning, merchandising and stock management.

You'll need 5 years experience in a similar or relevant role within the sports nutrition / nutraceuticals market and a deep understanding of the industry and its structure.

Demonstrating a commercial mindset is key as is an excellent level of business acumen - forecasting, analysis and adept presentation skills are a must. 

In terms of you then.. you're obsessed with your products and the market you work in; always aware of what's going on, and always one step ahead. You're a self starter, naturally inquisitive and always looking to go one better.

You're ambitious and yet a true team player, prioritising the big prize we pursue as a team over short term personal wins and you're hard working but find time for your colleagues and the social aspects that are part of a small business.
