Account Manager – Horticulture/Garden

A new fantastic new client of mine has made contact as, due to exceptional growth of the business, they are now in the position to recruit an experienced Account Manager to join their ever growing company. My client are internationally renowned specialists in the Garden/Horticulture industry and have been a well-established company within the industry for over 200 years.

Due to an exceptional 2018, the business has made some key acquisitions and are now in a position to bring on a specialist Account Manager to look after and manage their relationship with accounts such as Amazon, eBay and QVC. This is a highly integral role and requires the right candidate to have an excellent knowledge of live plant products, along a proven background in managing one of the aforementioned accounts. The ideal candidate will also have strong sales experience and will be able to get involved with New Product Development, planning and putting together range selections.

Located in a beautiful part of the country, my client has an incredibly rich history and are market leaders in the horticultural products industry, offering end users a wide variety of high quality products fit for the royal family. With the turn of the year imminent, the business has a clear vision of 2019 with goals to strengthen their offers and build on already solid relationships, whilst maintaining the organic growth through the retail channel.

Some key points of the right candidate:

  • Forward thinking and bringing on new concepts Live product knowledge (plants) Experience with Amazon, eBay or QVC Passionate and enthusiastic Strong knowledge of plants Ability to build relationships, sell and close important deals The ability to effectively manage buyers

This is an office based position in the South West of England, so the ideal candidate will need to live within a commutable distance from their head office in Paignton. This role will report into a director of the business, and you will work closely with the Senior Management team to come up with a strategy to effectively manage your assigned accounts.

You will also work closely with the other members of the sales team, so a personality that works cohesively with others will work well in this position.
