Overview of role
The Technical Assistant role reports into the Head of Technical and will assist in ensuring quality across all products supplied. The role involves working very closely with Head of Technical, Buyers, as well as a number of key stakeholders both internally (including Demand Planning and Off Trade support) and externally (both suppliers and customers).
Duties & responsibilities Quality Control
- Assisting in Quality Control tastings, in setting up the products to be tasted, the logging of products and outcome of the tasting.
- Assist in gathering sample requests from suppliers and information on the samples.
- Receiving and logging of all complaints of products supplied by Enotria & Coe.
- Monthly processing and reporting of complaints.
Data integrity
- Ensure data integrity is correctly uploaded on our internal system regarding the technical aspects for both suppliers and all products supplied.
- Work closely with customers in managing their requests in a timely manner.
- Work closely with technical and quality teams of suppliers in obtaining up do date information regarding accreditations, product information etc.
- Will be responsible in uploading the latest accreditations both internally and on customer technical platforms.
Off Trade support
- Manage access and alerts to different customer technical platforms for Enotria & Coe and our suppliers.
- Assisting in the completion of product specifications, Quality Attribute Sheets and artwork generation for both Enotria & Coe, and customer own labelled products.
- Organising and preparing suppliers for retailer and Enotria & Coe audits.
- Manage and upload SEDEX audits, accreditations and requests where required.
- Assisting the buying and sales teams on technical and winemaking information.
Person Specification Essential Desirable
Qualifications/
Training
- Good education
- WSET Level 1 or above
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- WSET Level 2 or above
Knowledge/
Experience
- A minimum of one year working with wine
- A minimum of one year in an administrative role
- Experience of Microsoft Navision
Skills/
Abilities
- Good PC skills – Word, Excel, Power Point, e-mail and Internet
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Very strong organisational skills
- High level of accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail
- Initiative and pro-active approach
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in French, Spanish or Italian
- Analytical skills
