Unicef UK

Head of Business Development, Corporate Partnerships

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Based: Stratford, London with possibility of flexible working / some home working

Unicef is an organisation with unparalleled reach and impact working to create a better world for children.  We are seeking a Head of New Business to play a key role in securing and developing high-value, strategic and long-term partnerships.

Our vision is to be the partner of choice for the UK’s leading companies, and our Corporate Partnerships team has built a significant track record of sustainable income growth, managing partnerships with major UK companies, including Manchester United, ARM, EasyJet, and Unilever. In 2017 the team raised just under £14m.

We need a tenacious, resilient and creative leader to unlock the full value from our partnerships and effectively manage a team of experienced senior business managers, ensuring we meet our ambitious goals. You will bring a proven track record of developing and maintaining key strategic partnerships and commercial opportunities which incorporate co-creation, collaborative programmatic design and collective resource planning.

The ability to develop and secure new partnerships at the £1 million per year level is more important than your sector background, and we are open to applications from credible candidates from both the charity and private sectors. A strategic thinker, you will have high emotional intelligence and strong influencing skills, and will be adept at operating in complex and challenging organisations.

To find out more about this exciting opportunity please visit: www.gatenbysanderson.com/job/GSe47976/head-of-new-business and for an informal confidential discussion about the role please contact our advising consultants Joanna Thornton or Rebecca O’Connor on 020 7426 3373.

We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates as they are under-represented within Unicef UK at this level.

The closing date is 10am on Thursday 14th February 2019.

Unicef UK promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in our workplace. We make employment decisions by matching business needs with skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.

We are happy to talk about flexible working, personal growth, and to promote a workplace where you can be yourself and achieve success based only on your merit.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a Basic Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights.

If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care on 0300 330 5580.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
