Due to rapid and exciting expansion, we are currently looking to recruit new team members into our Technical and Product Assurance team: -

SUPPLY TECHNICAL OFFICER

Reporting to the Head of Technical and Product Assurance, the Supply Technical Officer will be a key member of the supply team within the Technical & Product Assurance team. The Supply Technical Officer will work closely with the Supply Manager and will manage and deliver client requirements and services for supply and will help with the development, operation, training and administration of all Supply Services, including first line of contact for suppliers and scheduling of audits across the group in Acoura and LR.

Major duties:

  • Helping and supporting in the delivery of Supply Services to ensure that client requirements and services are delivered on time, following agreed Service Level Agreements and KPI’s.
  • Work in close collaboration with all parts of the business Acoura/LR to further develop and implement supply services for Food and Drink clients through Supply.
  • To be the first line of contact with Supply enquiries or queries and be able to re-set supplier passwords, assist with log ins, Technical queries and help guides for suppliers.
  • Fully up and running with Assist systems and be able to advise and support suppliers through the system.
  • Support the Supply Manager with menu delivery for key customers and deliver this accurately on time to agreed customer requirements.
  • Importing information into Assist and running menu reports on time for clients.
  • Supporting the Supply Manager with evaluating, recording, reviewing and challenging continuous improvement of supplier performance
  • Chasing suppliers to ensure all the required information is provided within the agreed timelines and in the correct location on Assist.
  • Establishing and developing relationships with all partners in the supply chain from suppliers through to customers.
  • Liaising with other teams in Acoura, to continually improve the service we offer, including technical, reporting and added value solutions to our clients.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of supplier guidelines and internal standards
  • Manage the Process for Acoura Food Safety Standard (2nd Party audit) allocation for Supply Clients.
  • Chasing overdue reports and corrective actions, ensuring Food Safety Standard (2nd Party audit) Supply Schemes run on time.
  • Ensuring visibility for the customer to view their audit status for Acoura Food Safety Standard audits (2nd Party audits).
  • Manage and monitor the organisation of audits, the management of audit programs & processing of reports, producing KPI reports and ensuring we are working to timelines.
  • Develop audit documentation and user guides.
  • Develop and Manage Key Customer reports ensuring they deliver the customer criteria on time.
  • Working closely with BIS and demand management team to develop and make IT Systems more effective and efficient.

Coming from a food manufacturing, technical or nutritional background, you will be educated with an HND in Food Science/Nutrition or equivalent degree.

Food Hygiene and HACCP experience are essential, Product Specification and customer specification experience is desirable.

Knowledge of UK food manufacturing practices and processes are essential
