Key Account Manager - Regional Brewers & On Trade Multiple Groups/Key Accounts

£Competitive salary + Annual Bonuses + Car or £5,000 car allowance + Health Care + Product Allowance + Phone + Ipad

Field Based - Home Counties and London

Do you have the proven successful account management track record it takes to build a successful career with one of the UK's largest beer and beverage companies? Are you thirsty for the opportunity to grow a customer base of regional multiple groups & brewers? Are you someone who thrives on the challenge of winning business in the capital city? Congratulations, you're in the right place.

At Carlsberg UK we're changing for the better. We're creating an organisation that's agile, daring and focused on brewing and selling a portfolio of core and premium quality beer, cider, wines and spirits.

We're already on the journey, we've expanded our impressive craft portfolio, with the recent addition of Brooklyn not to mention launching Swedish Pale Ale, Shed Head and craft cider brand, Bad Apple into the market. These sit alongside our premium world beers like San Miguel and Mahou from Spain and Poretti from Italy as well as our powerful Danish core brands; Carlsberg and Carlsberg Export.

Right now, we're looking for a results-driven individual with bags of commercial acumen, to maximise sales volume and profit income via core and third party brand sales to a variety of customers. A truly heavyweight sales role, it's about creating, maintaining and reviewing an ongoing business plan and successful new business customer contact strategy. It's also about identifying, pursuing and securing new high volume/margin customers within a hugely competitive region. Developing a pool of leads; forging and developing productive relationships with a variety of key stakeholders; gathering and sharing competitor insight and negotiating with customers - all and more are elements of this superb opportunity.

As well as a sound understanding of a range of on-trade customers, you also have polished sales, presentation and negotiation skills, impressive FMCG experience and a firm grasp of P&L. What's more, you're used to generating business plans and evaluating success and have a gritty determination and tenacity to succeed. You're a good listener too, and have the administration skills, flair for analysis and IT literacy required to succeed.

On top of the culture and career development opportunities that make working with us so rewarding, we'll also give you a company car (for which you'll need a clean driving licence). Oh, and a product allowance, flexible benefits including a generous bonus scheme and private medical insurance. So, what are you waiting for? The broader opportunities you crave with a world leader could be yours for the taking.

*Internally this position is known as Account Manager

Company

Carlsberg. To many we’re a famous Danish pilsner beer. To others, we make the best beer adverts ever, probably. To our colleagues, we’re so much more. We’re a brewer with 170-years of heritage and a reputation for making great beer at breweries across the world. We support this through continuous scientific innovation, centred at the Carlsberg Laboratory in Copenhagen, where the pH Scale was developed.

Alongside Carlsberg Pilsner, our enviable portfolio of beer brands includes Carlsberg Export, San Miguel, Tetley’s, Poretti and Brooklyn Lager. Some we brew, others we licence from our valued brewing partners Mahou, San Miguel and Brooklyn Brewery. We build these brands through iconic communications and sponsorship assets that include Glastonbury and Live Nation festivals, such as Reading, Leeds, Wireless and Latitude.

Above all else, we have a purpose and commitment to Brewing for a Better Today & Tomorrow, which is core to everything we do, from sales to sustainability. Carlsberg really is a great place to work. Internationally renowned brands, an exciting and stimulating environment and outstanding opportunities for personal development on a global stage. With such a diverse range of jobs and huge professional challenges, this is a place where passion and the desire to achieve really can make a difference.

Every day is different. Every day we look at new ways to perfect what we do and to be the best. And, it’s our people that are key to this. It’s a place where team means everything – yet every individual has the opportunity to shine. So on top of the culture and career development opportunities that make working with us so rewarding, we’ll also give you a product allowance, a flexible benefits scheme and generous holidays. So are you in the pursuit of something better and like what you’ve read so far? Then check out our current vacancies today.
