We are currently looking to recruit a Commercial Reporting Analyst on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. In this role you will be based at our head office in Leeds. Reporting in to the Shopper Marketing Controller, the Commercial Reporting Analyst is a key member of the Shopper Investment Team, providing excellence in terms of promotional analysis and understanding, and delivering support to the wider commercial team in the development of promotional strategies and plans.

The focus is to establish the most effective mechanics to convert shoppers into buyers, understanding the financial ROI as well as the impact on other KPIs (penetration, frequency, WOP).

Responsibilities in this role include:
  • Monthly and weekly promotion reporting, utilizing inputs from a variety of sources including financial systems and market data (Nielsen and KWP)
  • Management of the Promotions Database, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure accuracy of data
  • Being the key user of the Promotions Modelling Tool, producing scenario plans to optimize investment, with quantified impact on key metrics
  • Acting as lead contact for promotions optimization projects with the external agency
  • Developing improved promotional management processes and tools


To be successful in this role you will be highly numerate with good attention to detail and have excellent excel skills. You will have previous experience of working within analytical roles, with a tenacious and inquisitive mindset focused on both detail and delivery. You must be able to demonstrate that you have the ability to synthesise information from a variety of sources and be an excellent team player.

Key Skill requirements:
  • Advanced MS Excel and proficient in VBA
  • Intermediate MS Access
  • Experience in either Finance or Demand Planning roles would be beneficial
  • Experience of Nielsen and Kantar would be desirable but not essential
