About our Client: 

This modern day British success story are looking to add a Senior National Account Manager to their massively talented retail team. The phenomenal growth this business is witnessing sees no sign of slowing at all with, constant innovation NPD and their foray into the UK grocery market really whipping up a frenzy with demanding consumers! 

For a food business, it really does not get any better. The retailers are in love with these guys, activation in store is phenomenal. The relationships being driven by amazing marketing and category insight lead negotiation with a real focus on Health & Wellness - bang on trend in the marketplace with consumers. Ecommerce has been a massive success too for this business, however the concentration is now the bricks and mortar retail multiples hence the requirement for a heavy hitting Senior National Account Manager to come and lead their largest grocery customer with man management.

About the Role: 

The Senior National Account Manager will be looking after the No.1 grocery account in the business, this is the highest profile role in the commercial team. They are looking for a candidate with Top 4 grocery retail experience. Also, this role will include man management, initially of 1 report but with a remit and real appetite form the business to grow the team rapidly. Tripling distribution will need a larger support network so headcount growth will become a key remit of the role. 

Rapid progression to senior leadership level is available for the right candidate. You will be working alongside the Directors of the business daily to receive first class mentoring in a constantly moving beast which will allow for no slowing down. 

Cross functional support will also be needed and an input into the wider retailer strategy will be a key part of this role. Sound like an opportunity for you? 

 

About You: 

Our client is looking for someone who has prior experience of dealing with UK top 4 multiples but wants to get away from the red tape & process driven culture.

  • Have fun and immerse yourself in the business, this is the No.1 priority.
  • Full P&L for top grocery customer most likely to be the No.1 account.
  • Direct line management experience will be a huge plus.
  • Delivering the Account Business Plan with customers.
  • Establish regular contact with key customer contacts to maximise business opportunities with the account/s (e.g. buyers, category managers, operations, stock controllers).
  • Coordinate Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and commercial activities to deliver total customer satisfaction.
  • Lead in-store activity, monitor competitors and ensure that all forecasting and administration is up to date and accurate.
  • Constant NPD require new listings and lots of product testing.
  • Support the wider retail team and other senior management with motivation and development of your overall business and growth strategy.
  • Family feel ethos is hugely important, there are major influences you will be required to make in this role.
