About our Client: 

My client is a leading supplier in the UK and will continue to develop tasty, 'food to go' snacks for many more years to come! The company has several exciting products and flavours along with branded accessories. These new products are set to exceed consumer's expectations for improved snacking choices. Consumer demand for anytime snacks that are quick, halal and reduced salt continue to drive company sales growth. 

The diversity of customers that these guys boast is hugely exciting - anything from Top 4 grocery retail to Wembley Stadium. This is a business steeped in heritage with the backing of one of the largest UK based food businesses in the world. 

Their branded concept is a household name and through continued growth they are looking for a Channel Head in Leisure to build on their contact strategy and grow the team. Culturally these guys are very good at what they do; they pride themselves on long standing customer relationships with the largest accounts in the industry. They have a long standing heritage and want people to come into their team who would like to work in the right way with masses of progression opportunities. 

 

About the Role:

As Channel Manager in this fabulous snacking & food to go business you'll be managing existing business across the leisure & entertainment sectors within the likes of stadia, Cineworld, Ten Pin Bowling, Odeon, Everyman, AMF, Thorpe Park, Drayton Manor etc.  The remit is to revamp existing relationships and maximise their offering, but 50% of the focus is taking these snacking brands to a whole new raft of customers.

Success in this role depends on an ability to develop and cultivate new business to create yourself as a channel manager for the future. This is a relationship driven channel and they pride themselves on excellence. Expectations are sky-high as the SD and MD are passionate about their brands and hugely excited about where this burgeoning category can go next. 

 

About You:

  • Account Management experience with a good understanding of Leisure & Entertainment sectors is key.
  • A passion for the Food, snacking and Impulse sector.
  • FMCG Food background.
  • Effective communicator - able to negotiate and influence.
  • Has a strong sense of individual accountability - able to work with autonomy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and can manage cross functional relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Committed to deliver results, tracking individual goals and objectives.
  • Has a flexible approach and adapts to challenges and changing priorities as needed.
  • Strong team player and collaborates easily with others, willing to help and learn from others and shares relevant information with the team.
  • Commercially aware with experience in P&L management, budget planning and customer management.
  • Embraces and accelerates change in a fast paced environment making innovation happen within real-life constraints.
  • Creates a positive environment while remaining focused on priorities and tackling obstacles.
  • Makes fast decisions balancing intuition and facts, taking conscious and calculated risks.
