Job Details

Our client is a leading food and lifestyle brand well known all over the world. CSG Talent has now been asked to search for a Commercial Manager to lead the growth of their fast expanding food range across chilled and frozen foods and snacks. Currently their products are available in the UK, Australia, Europe and the Middle East although this Commercial Manager role is to focus on growth within the UK market.

Based in Central London, we are looking for a highly experienced Commercial Manager with experience of working with the multiple grocers to join this high achieving, busy and fast paced team. You will be responsible for driving the company’s short, medium and long term strategic development in the UK and the profitable growth of sales and margin.

This is an autonomous and entrepreneurial role that will allow the right individual to use your business skills and acumen to succeed.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Account Management of the company’s current product portfolio within existing customers.
  • Identification of new customer opportunities.
  • Agree Joint Business Plans with major customers.
  • Use of customer and market information to identify opportunities for NPD.
  • Set, agree and manage a 12 month sales and expenditure budget.
  • Management of forecasting and stock levels of finished product.
  • Hands on role with daily contact with manufacturers and customers.

The Individual:

  • Previous experience at Commercial Manager / Senior National Account Manager / senior level within a food manufacturing environment.
  • A strong track record of working with the UK multiple retailers.
  • Educated to degree level or the equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A high level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Good analytical skills and problem solving skills.
  • Able to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting market data i.e. Nielsen / Kantar
