Buyer - Plant Hire

Your new company
As a market-leader in tool sector, our client are a customer-centric business who continue to grow and diversify. To help them continue in this direction, they are looking to bring in a Buyer with strong expertise in a Procurement environment to be responsible for maximising the profitability of their product categories. This will involve developing a product offer in line with market and customer requirements based on sound market knowledge and commercial acumen.

Your new role
You will be required to negotiate competitive cost prices and trading terms with suppliers as well as developing category strategies in line with market trends, in order to optimise the profit on your categories. You will also be responsible for the category review process to identify gaps in the range and introduce new products into the business.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have a proven track record of success within a Buying / Category Management role in an omni-channel B2B or B2C environment, with it being particularly advantageous if this experience is in a related field such as Tools, Engineering or Machinery. Over and above this, you will be a shrewd negotiator with well developed influencing skills and the ability to use both written and verbal presentation skills.

What you'll get in return
In return, the client will pay a competitive salary of £35-40,000 with a package that includes company car and host of any benefits in a fast paced, vibrant and supportive working environment
