National Account Manager

The new business drive sees fresh investment and greater growth ambitions. This has created a new and exciting opportunity for a confident and ambitious retail sales National Account Manager.

You'll need a true passion for all things food and be able to demonstrate fundamental business skills, presentational flair and sound commercial acumen. This is an enterprise that is going places fast and the desire is to home-grow the future business leaders!
 

THE OPPORTUNITY

Based in South Manchester, you would be reporting to the Head of Retail Sales, this position includes direct responsibilities for managing key strategic partnerships and developing brand new ones too. Direct involvement in the strategic planning process, as well as reporting and evaluating all that our client does. You will design and Implement procedures within the business segment and take full ownership of supply chain forecasting.

  • Update and monitor your own sales forecast, as briefed by the Sales Team
  • Identify target areas to develop new business with existing clients/customers
  • Actively create new business relationships with prospective clients, or new markets to move in to
  • Create presentations, pitching internally to the sales team, or to clients
  • Brand awareness, and development – promoting the business in the most exciting way 
  • Support the sales team in terms of order processing, managing daily supply challenges, reporting and general queries – staying close to each client to understand any concerns
  • Manage all internal/external account administration within any given timescale
  • Liaise with clients to resolve any queries before they become problems
  • Provide innovative suggestions when reviewing processes and procedures
  • Acquire more business acumen through research and analysis of industry trends and developments

You will be a passionate Foodie, with a successful account management /sales track record along with demonstrable problem solving and effective decision-making skills. You will have a fresh and true partnering approach with first class presentation skills, and a fun ‘can-do’ attitude.
