The Company

Our client is a pioneering British wholefood company, who has revolutionised mainstream snacking. Behind the some of the UK’s best-known health foods, our client is going from strength to strength and after a booming start to 2017, they urgently need a National Account Manager to represent their brands across some of their biggest foodservice/contract catering accounts.

The Role

As a NAM, you will be responsible for delivering the annual sales plan for the designated accounts (including Bidfood, Brakes, Compass and other wholesalers).  You will be tasked with building relationships across the account at all levels, buying, supply chain and all other relevant levels. Although a NAM position, you will need to have a hunter mentality to win new business and the tenacity to make it happen.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Manging a small team of BDE’s who look after smaller foodservice/wholesale customers
  • Managing agreed wholesale/foodservice channel account budget spend across all elements of the mix – promotions, fixed investment, online, trade marketing spend.
  • Identify new opportunities

The person for this Sales Representative role:

We are looking for an experienced sales professional with a background in Food & Drink sales and someone who is keen to learn and submerge themselves into a niche, but growing industry. Experience working within the wholesale/foodservice channel is essential (Brakes, Bidfood, Compass, Baxter Storey).

  • Based within a 2-hour commute of Oxford - this role is home based, however you will need to work from their HQ for 1 day a week.
  • A dynamic individual and a self starter
  • A proven track record in customer retention
  • Excellent sales skills. Able to influence decisions and close for sales orders
  • Great personality – positive, likeable, good sense of humour, builds relationships easily
  • Embraces being accountable for the area performance and prioritises constantly in order to meet targets
  • Possess the potential and desire to progress to a more senior role
